I am a good spatial thinker and I love to solve problems through GIS and Remote Sensing technology. I am passionate in my profession and has been fortunate to be a part of many remarkable projects. I love researching, finding new methods, figuring out obstacles and answering complex questions. To accomplish a good result, I constantly to learn, network with experts and quickly adapt to new insights.  

I have enjoyed diversified positions in my geospatial career. I started my career in the utility sector. Secondly, I worked in landscape design and engineering, then in land survey domain and GIS training. All my positions have been challenging and interesting.

I  completed my B.tech in Civil Engineering in 2014. After my graduation, I joined for a 6-month course in Geoinformation Science and Technology. That was where my passion for GIS and Remote sensing technology began. My love for GIS and RS was evoked there and since then, I have contributed to many environmental projects(See Projects section).  My passion had encouraged me to pursue my master’s in Geoinformatics.  My master’s degree research was in “Kerala Flood 2018: Participatory GIS Flood mapping, 3DGIS Flood Visualisation and Disaster Preparedness Plan”.  It was well appreciated and published in a Scopus indexed international journal. 

I was fortunate to be a part of several environment management and monitoring projects through my education and work experience. I have handled several geospatial projects, most of which was for environment applications like proposed dam reservoir area impact assessment, Flood mitigation and so on. I am confident that I can contribute to the environment sector with my geospatial skills but I need to improve in the main environment management skills like policy development and economics. That is the reason that I am currently pursuing MSc in Energy and Environment Management at Teesside University, UK.  

It was always my dream to come to the UK. I was amazed by the british effort to map the Indian subcontinent back in 18th century, with out the latest survey equipment they have created a marvellous work through the great Indian survey. So i always knew that great geospatial technologoes and experts are made in the UK, i will utilise every oppurtunity here to meet and learn from the geospatial experts here. I love the people here, they are so friendly and helpfull. The culture, food and wonderfull climate are the other factors that made me love UK.
